Abstract

In this paper, we give a proof for Sehgal-Gusemantheorem of fixed point in rectangular $b$-metric spaces. Our result is supported with a suitable example. As a corollary of our results, we obtain fixed point results ofcontraction mappings in $b$-metric spaces.
